This Web site’s purpose is not merely to advertise my writings - though I hope it does that. Rather, here you’ll find commentaries on art, literature, music, sports, and politics; you’ll find reference materials useful for writers. And you’ll find (I hope, when I finish transporting my inventory of links from the old site to this one) the single thing that Web sites should provide most abundantly - links.

In one way or another, much of what’s here speaks of and to love; that’s the reason for the quotation from Boethius. Some of that love is erotic. But a great deal is expressed in other settings - modern patriotism, preservation of the heritage of the past, and hopes for the future.
